What Ebb's PDF report actually looks like
A user asked what the PDF summaries look like before deciding whether they were worth paying for. That's a fair question, and nothing on this site answered it. So here is the real thing — the same layout the app produces, filled with made-up sample data.

What's in it
- A trend chart per symptom, at the top — your daily 1–5 ratings as a line over the whole period, so the shape is visible before the numbers.
- The date range and the list of symptoms you track. You pick the period when you export: last 30 days, 90 days, 6 months, or everything.
- One row per day you logged, in date order. Days you skipped simply aren't there.
- One column per symptom, with that day's 1–5 rating. A dash means you didn't rate that symptom.
- Your note for the day, in the last column, exactly as you wrote it.
- The severity legend — 1 = Mild through 5 = Severe — so a clinician reading it cold knows what the numbers mean.
What's not in it
Being straight about the limits, because finding them out after paying is worse:
- No custom date ranges. You choose from four periods (30 days, 90 days, 6 months, everything) — you can't yet ask for "since my last appointment in March" specifically.
- No averages or summary row. The daily numbers and charts are there; the arithmetic isn't done for you.
- No medications, vitals, or appointment fields. Ebb tracks symptoms and one free-text note per day. That's the whole data model.
Charts in the PDF and the period picker both shipped in v1.0.6 (August 2026) because users asked for them by email. The rest of the roadmap works the same way — no promised dates, Ebb is built by one developer.
How to generate one
In the app: Settings → Export PDF Report, then pick the period (30 days, 90 days, 6 months, or everything). It builds on your device and opens the standard iOS share sheet, so you can save it to Files, email it to your doctor's office ahead of the visit, message it, or send it straight to a printer. Nothing is uploaded anywhere — Ebb has no server holding your health data.
Free vs premium, precisely:
- Free: CSV export of your entire logging history, plus up to 5 symptoms, full history, and 7-day trends.
- Premium ($4.99/month or $29.99/year): this PDF report, unlimited symptoms, and 30-day / 90-day / all-time trend charts in the app.
If what you actually need is the raw data over a long stretch — for a disability claim, say — the free CSV covers more days than the PDF does. Say so out loud rather than sell you the wrong tier.

What does Ebb's PDF symptom report contain?
A trend chart for each symptom, then one table: a row per logged day, a column per symptom with its 1–5 rating, and your note for that day. The date range and symptom list sit at the top; the severity legend sits below the table.
Does the PDF report include charts?
Yes — since v1.0.6. Each symptom gets its own trend line at the top of the report, covering the same period as the table.
What date range does the PDF cover?
Your choice at export time: the last 30 days, the last 90 days, the last 6 months, or your entire logging history.
Is the PDF report free?
No — it's part of Ebb Premium ($4.99/month or $29.99/year). CSV export of your full history is free.
Where does the PDF go after it's generated?
It's built on your device and handed to the iOS share sheet: Files, Mail, Messages, or Print. Nothing is uploaded to a server.
